From the bustling and “forbidden” Chinatown to the busy fashion capital of Australia in Flinders Lane were more than 610 clothing firms existed from 1940s to the 1960s. Our tour to Phillip Island is a day full of amazing views and experiences. The attractions we visit have a focus on the environment and the protection of the wildlife. No extra fees for taking a photo with the animals!

The Phillip Island VIP tour runs like the regular tour but it offers a more exclusive and intimate viewing option: Skybox. The Skybox is a cabin; it was used by the park rangers to monitor the arrival of the little penguins every night. Located in the middle of the stands it is now open to the public. It has a capacity of ten (10) adults, no children under 16yo permitted. The ranger will give a commentary in English to the passengers.
Please note guide does not attend the Skybox, the commentary and information about the little penguins in their language is given before they enter it.

DAY 1: ADELAIDE / NARACOORTE / HALLS GAP
We leave Adelaide and visit the town of Hahndorf. Drive east to the town of Naracoorte. This small
town is home to some 5000 people. The name means “place of running water” and grew thanks to
the Gold Rush in Victoria. It became an important stopover the gold on its way to the South
Australian coast. Thousands of miners, including over 7000 Chinese “illegally arrived” stopped here
on their way to and from the diggings. On arrival we enjoy a light lunch. The area is famous for the World Heritage Listed Caves; these
caves were accidentally discovered in the 1870’s and hold the secrets of the past, fossils of giant
kangaroos, stalactites and stalagmites decorate the walls.
Continue driving east to the start of the Grampians, Halls Gap, where we spend the night.

DAY 2: HALLS GAP / GRAMPIANS / WARRNAMBOOL
After breakfast discover the magic of Geriwerd (Grampians). This land has been inhabited by the
Djab Wurrung and Jardwadjali people for 25000 years. Enjoy magnificent views from Boroka and
Reeds Lookouts, and MacKenzie Falls (good level of fitness required to climb down and up the
stairs). After lunch visit the Aboriginal Cultural Centre of Brambuk to learn more of the strong link
between the people and the land.
We drive south to reach the Victorian coastline. We visit Tower Hill reserve to see some Australian
wildlife. Spend the night in the historical town of Warrnambool were we may see whales (depending
on season).

DAY 3: WARRNAMBOOL / GREAT OCEAN ROAD / MELBOURNE
From Warrnambool we start one of the best coastal drives in the world. Continue along the Great
Ocean Road to visit Bay of Islands, London Bridge, Loch Ard Gorge and the iconic Twelve Apostles.
These rock formations are created by the erosion of the sea and the wind, separating the rocks from
the mainland, the views are unforgettable.
Light lunch in the town of Lavers Hill. The road leaves the coast and crosses the Otway Ranges
national Park, this 13,000 hectares forest is home to ancient trees, small marsupials and many
species of birds. We enjoy a rainforest walk before the roads meets the sea again. There will be
many opportunities for pictures along the way. See koalas in the wild and stop to visit Bells Beach to
see surfers riding waves.
From here the road will take us through Geelong, second largest city in Victoria to finally arrive in
Melbourne.

3 days 2 nights Melbourne / Adelaide – CODE MEA
DAY 1: MELBOURNE / GREAT OCEAN ROAD / WARRNAMBOOL
Leaving Melbourne we drive south west to reach Geelong, second largest city in Victoria. From here we start one of the world’s most beautiful coastal drives, the Great Ocean Road. We will have many opportunities to take fantastic photos, maybe see koalas and kangaroos in the wild and surfers at Bells Beach. We stop for a light lunch in the town of Apollo Bay. The road leaves the coast and crosses the Otway Ranges National Park, this 13,000 hectares forest is home to ancient trees, small marsupials and many species of birds. We enjoy a rainforest walk. Visit the Twelve Apostles and Loch Ard Gorge, the site of one in hundreds of shipwrecks along the southern coast of Australia. Other stops include London Bridge and Bay of Islands. After arriving in Warrnambool we check in at our accommodation for the night.
DAY 2: WARRNAMBOOL / GRAMPIANS / HALLS GAP
After breakfast we leave Warrnambool and visit Tower Hill Reserve – an extinct volcanoe – where we may see emus and other australian wildlife. DAY 1: MELBOURNE / WILSONS PROM NATIONAL PARK / LAKES ENTRANCE
We leave Melbourne travelling South East along the South Gippsland Freeway. Passing
through the picturesque towns of Korumburra and Leongatha, we have time for a coffee
break in Koonwarra. This is a contemporary rural village actively demonstrating sustainable
living from organic food and wine, to clothing, furniture and art.
We continue our day to Wilsons Promontory, Australia’s most southerly point and one of
Victoria’s most beautiful National parks. It protects over 50,000 hectares which include
some of Victorias best beaches, cool shaded rainforest gullies, cloud soaked mountain
peaks, rugged offshore islands and remote light station illuminating seas surrounding the
southern tip.
At Wilsons Promontory National Park we enjoy a beautiful view from Picknick Point Lookout
and take a walk to Squeaky beach. Afterwards we drive to Tidal River, where we enjoy a
light lunch.
After lunch we continue our tour leaving Wilsons Promontory. We have one further stop
where we may see wildlife like kangaroos, echidnas or wombats.
After a short break at the old port of Sale we enjoy further magnificent views in the area of
the Great Gippsland lakes and may see some majestic pelicans in Lakes Entrance, where
the 90 Miles beach meets the Southern Ocean. We arrive at our hotel in Lakes Entrance.

DAY 2: LAKES ENTRANCE / EDEN / BATEMANS BAY
After breakfast we leave Lakes Entrance and drive along the Princess Hwy passing through
Orbost. We take a half an hour walk through beautiful warm climate rainforest at Bemm
River Scenic Reserve, crossing two extension bridges and learn about Australian
rainforests flora and fauna. We continue our tour to Eden, where we enjoy a lunch and
coffee at the Eden’s wharf. Eden is a town which history is bound with the traditions of the
sea and New South Wales whaling industry. We visit the Eden Killer Whale Museum which
houses the skeletal remains of legendary “Old Tom”, a killer whale that reputedly guided
whalers to their prey. The museum tells of Eden’s whaling, Aboriginal, timber and fishing
histories.
We continue our tour north enjoying magnificent coastal views while passing through the
coastal town of Merimbula and picturesque Bournda National Park.
In Bega we join the Princess Highway and continue after the town of Moruya on the scenic
drive along the coast. We arrive in Batemans Bay.

DAY 3: BATEMANS BAY / JERVIS BAY / KIAMA / SYDNEY
We leave Batemans Bay passing through the district of Shoalhaven. We follow the scenic
route to Jervis Bay Marine Park. Enjoy a stroll along the beach, the world's whitest sands
and crystal clear waters provide a picturesque setting for the diverse range of aquatic and
terrestrial ecosystems of Jervis Bay. In Huskisson, we stop for a coffee break before we
continue our drive to the Coolangatta Estate Winery for lunch and a following tasting of
local wines. Coolangatta was the Southern East Coasts first European settlement and its
vineyard is located in a picturesque setting overlooking their rambling vines.
After lunch we continue our tour to Kiama, meaning “where the sea makes a noise” in the
local indigenous language. We visit the famous blowhole, visited by George Bass in 1797 –
the blowholes’ spectacular plumes of water are on display when the seas are running from
the south-east. We also visit Kiama’s local rock pool from where we may see dolphins or
whales and have the opportunity to enjoy a coffee. We arrive in Sydney.

3 day 2 nights Sydney / Melbourne – CODE SYM
DAY 1: SYDNEY / KIAMA / JERVIS BAY / BATEMANS BAY
We leave Sydney and continue our tour to the town of Kiama, meaning “where the sea makes a noise” in the local indigenous language. We visit the famous blowhole, visited by George Bass in 1797 – the blowholes’ spectacular plumes of water are on display when the seas are running from the south-east. We also visit Kiama’s local rock pool from where we may see dolphins or whales and have the opportunity to enjoy a coffee. We drive along the Grand Pacific Tourist Drive via Gerroa and have lunch at the Coolangatta Estate Winery followed by a tasting of local wines. Coolangatta was the Southern East Coasts first European settlement and its vineyard is located in a picturesque setting overlooking their rambling vines. We follow the scenic route via Huskisson to Jervis Bay Marine Park and enjoy a stroll along the beach, the world's whitest sands and crystal clear waters provide a picturesque setting for the diverse range of aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems of Jervis Bay. We are passing through the district of Shoalhaven and spend the night in Batemans Bay, a picturesque coastal town on the east coast of New South Wales.
DAY 2: BATEMANS BAY / EDEN / LAKES ENTRANCE
After breakfast we leave Batemans Bay following the scenic drive along the coast. Just before Moruya, we join the Princess Hwy to Bega, a town most popular for it’s cheese and dairy products. We continue our tour south enjoying magnificent coastal views while passing through the town of Merimbula and picturesque Bournda National Park. We have a light lunch at the wharf in Eden. Eden is a town which history is bound with the traditions of the sea and New South Wales whaling industry. We visit the Eden Killer Whale Museum which houses the skeletal remains of legendary „Old Tom“, a killer whale that reputedly guided whalers to their prey. The museums tells of Eden’s whaling, Aboriginal, timber and fishing histories. Continuing south we enjoy a walk through beautiful warm climate rainforest at Bemm River Scenic Reserve, crossing two extension bridges and learn about Australian rainforests flora and fauna. We may see some majestic pelicans at the coastal town of Lakes Entrance, where the 90 miles beach meets the Southern Ocean. We spend the night in Lakes Entrance.
DAY 3: LAKES ENTRANCE / WILSONS PROMONTORY NATIONAL PARK / MELBOURNE
We leave Lakes Entrance travelling along the Great Gippsland lakes via the old port of Sale to Wilsons Promontory, Australias most southerly point on the mainland and one of Victorias most beautiful National Parks. It protects over 50,000 hectares which include some of Victorias best beaches, cool shaded rainforest gullies, cloud soaked mountain peaks, rugged offshore islands and remote light station illuminating seas surrounding the southern tip. We enjoy a beautiful view from Picknick Point Lookout and take a walk to Squeaky beach. Afterwards we drive to Tidal River, where we enjoy a light lunch.
On our way to Melbourne we are travelling north west along the South Gippsland Freeway and have a coffee break in Koonwarra. This is a contemporary rural village actively demonstrating sustainable living from organic food and wine, to clothing, furniture and art. After passing through the picturesque towns of Korumburra and Leongatha we arrive in Melbourne, Victorias capital. |
